About my record auctions:
If you would like to skip directly to the record description scroll down to "About this Item" below.
-
I have literally thousands of records available, perhaps some rare ones - I don't know. I hope to begin listing them regularly from now until who knows when. Until they're gone - I hope to live to see that day. :)
-
I received these from many different owners and places, these are not from my own collection. Conditions will vary greatly.
-
I have not been able to listen to them to see if they each play well, but you may return any that do not.
-
Most records will start at .99 cents to save on fees and will not be relisted if they do not sell.
-
All types of genres and sizes. Country, rock, oldies, 80's, classical, (not much jazz or blues I'm afraid). 45's, 33's, 78's, etc.
-
If I have more than one album for an artist I will probably list them all in one lot.
-
If you win the lot but do not want every record I can ship only those you do want and quote you a new shipping cost. Or if the lot does not sell and you would like me to list a particular record or two from that lot let me know.
-
If you are looking for something in particular you may contact me to see if I have it and I'll be more than happy to list it on Ebay A.S.A.P.. I will not typically list it with Buy It Now, however - just a regular auction listing.
-
Any record may be returned for any reason. See return policy in yellow box below for details on returning one or all items in a lot.
-
I will try to use the Goldmine Grading System (brief run down of that shown below item description), "the most widely accepted system in record collecting". I am a novice at this and will try to grade accurately. If you find that I graded a record incorrectly please let me know how so I can learn.
-
All records will be shipped in boxes that hold them snuggly so sleeves won't get torn. They will also be bagged to protect against moisture.
I will gladly combine multiple record listings for shipping.

Comments: This record has a plain white label with a handwritten: Al Corley A. "Square Rooms". The B side label is blank but another version of the song is probalby on that side.
The record just needs a light dusting, it doesn't look played. Sleeve is good. The cover just has some light rub marks.
There are no other markings on the label, so I don't know who recorded it. Some of the numbers pressed into the record are: SLM 9403, 1-1, OB -21073-ALD and some others.
According to Wikipedia:
Corley is best known as the first actor to play Steven Carrington on the soap opera Dynasty. After that, Corley acted in fourteen movies, then produced five.
He was also known as a singer in the 1980s. His 1984 electro-pop single "Square Rooms" became a number one hit in France (in 1985), also reaching #6 in Switzerland, #12 in Italy (in 1985), #13 in Germany and #15 in Austria. The same year, he released "Cold Dresses," which was also a big hit in France, reaching #5. He released three albums.

Brief run down of Goldmine grading scale:
M = Mint - Absolutely perfect, never played, possibly sealed.
NM = Near Mint - A nearly perfect record. No obvious signs of wear. Sleeves should have no more than the most minor defects. LP jacket should have no creases or blemishes. Should look like it just left the store and the shrink wrap was just removed.
VG+ = Very Good Plus - Worth 50% of the NM value according to Goldmine. Will show some signs that it was played and handled by someone who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect how it sounds. Slight warps that do not affect sounds are OK. Label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole should not be misshapen do to repeated playing. Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight ring wear, lightly turned up at corners, or a slight seam split. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear or cutout holes showing it was sold at a discount. All but the most "mint-crazy" collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.
VG = Very Good - Generally worth 25% of the Near Mint Value. Many of the defects will be more pronounced. Surface noise may be evident. Groove wear will start to be noticeable as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers or residue attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves of LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only 2-3 of them.
G, G+ = Good, Good Plus
Generally worth 10-15 percent of the Near Mint value. Good does not mean Bad! A record in good condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratchs and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white). A jacket or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
P = Poor - Generally near worthless unless it's an exceptionally sought after record. The record is cracked, badly warped, and probably won't play through without skipping (I say probably because I won't be playing all of these records to test them). The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and/or writing. The LP jacket barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.
I will typically grade a record and its sleeve or cover separately.
