This is my third purchase of this device from rokland. I like them. The AWUS036H is trusty and reliable. I typically run it on windows so I dont use all of the features. But I definitely like the interface utility. Make sure you upgrade the .cfg to get the full benefit of this adapter. I attach mine to a dishnetwork dish and connect to my wifi source about 450 feet away through a small patch of trees. I can play online FPS games with very little packet loss and when the ISP is not throttling I have seen speeds over 12mb/s. Ive played around with it a little wiresharking in kali also, it's very functional. If you use it outdoors build a little waterproof case for it out of U.V. resistance plastic. This will greatly extend it's life. Otherwise corrosion is a problem. It is also somewhat susceptible to EMP from lightning ground strikes when attached to the dish, but hey it's a cheap and reliable long range network and Rokland ships them out with a quickness when you need a new one. This is piece of junk. It is worse than the built in wifi on my laptop. It is far worse than my TP link TL-WN722N. Weird considering this supposedly has a 5dbi antenna. Don't waste your money on this. It has a hologram but that doesn't mean it is authentic. Those can be faked too. This does NOT have an atheros chipset.
