Well I have to say 'Alfie' (of all the Bears I have made) is my favorite and I admit to having a lot of thought before listing him! But as any collector will know we only have so much room and my collection is strictly antique Bears only so a new home for Alfie is needed.
Alfie is a new design (approx 20 inches high) and I have created him with the antique bear in mind, he has the traditional centre seam head. He is hand sewn from very luxurious kid mohair. Kid mohair is shorn from baby Goats and is much softer than traditional mohair, it makes beautiful cuddlesome Bears. I use upholstery thread to sew my Bears to give extra strength and as always he is nut and bolt jointed with a cotter pinned neck. Alfie has Black gloss glass eyes and a matching embroidered nose in Black floss, I have given his nose a coat of wax and a polish. He has paw and foot pads made of a Terracotta shade ultrasuede. I have filled Alfie with a combination of wood wool, polyester heavy weight filling and he has a pouch of steel balls in his tum.
To add expression, Alfie's face has been scissor sculpted and hand painted to add depth and character. I think he's beautiful! A good solid chunky Bear looking for cuddles!
All Beddingfield Bears are designed and created by me the artist in a clean smoke free environment. All bears are exclusive one off creations and will not be duplicated. Each bear comes complete with a sew in label and a signed swing tag, stating the artist, bears name and date of birth.
I have been making Bears for approximately 2 years now and I am proud to have Bears residing all over the world.
Paypal is preferred though I do accept cheques and postal orders from UK buyers. Immediate payment is required and cheques are to be received within 3 working days of successful bid.
Bears are dispatched within 2 working days of payment/cleared cheque.

USA & Canada - $30.00, (international signed for delivery)
I try hard to keep P&P to a minimum, please appreciate most Bears are heavy due to the filling and therefore postage costs are high.
