Exotic Fruit Lotion is designed with Açaí,
Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil to

Acai
Seed Oil
Acai
is a particularly rich source of a type of anti-oxidants
known as anthocyanins, compounds belonging to the
class of flavonoids. These anti-oxidants help reduce
cholesterol and fight free radicals. It is the anthocyanins
in grapes that are the reason a glass of red wine
a day is associated with a heart-healthy diet. These
red-blue penols with potent anti-oxidant properties
exhibit numerous therapeutic benefits. In fact,
they may account for the French Paradox, in which
the French have one of the lowest rates of heart
disease of any western nation, while smoking more
and eating a diet high in cholesterol and saturated
fats. These purple-colored phytochemicals lend their
color to both grapes and Acai, but are found in
the Acai berry in a concentration 10 to 30 times
higher than in grapes. Acai is even higher in anti-oxidant
activity that blueberries and noni!
Pomegranate
Seed Oil
Not
only does pomegranate seed oil contain high levels
of anti-oxidants that fight free radicals and skin
aging, but the oil is also a potent source of punicic
and ellagic acids. Because of these properties,
pomegranate seed oil is used to heal, protect, and
moisturize dry, cracked, mature, and irritated skin,
bring elasticity back to the skin, and for eczema
and other skin problems. If pomegranate seed oil

fresh pomegranates are used to produce just one
pound of pomegranate seed oil! Pomegranate seed
oil is commonly used in cosmetic products to revitalize

Alcohol:
A free radical in its own right that can cause dryness and
flaking of the skin, allergic reactions and skin irritation
in many people. Can cause contact dermatitis.
DEA
(Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), & TEA (Triethanolamine):
Often
used as emulsifiers or foaming agents, can cause allergic
reactions, eye irritation, and dryness of hair and skin.
May be carcinogenic.
FD&C
Color Pigments: Often made from coal tar,
cause skin sensitivity & may be carcinogenic. Used to
make products "pretty," they are unnecessary additives.
Designated as FD&C or D&C, followed by a color,
and a number.
Fragrance:
Many contain synthetic compounds that are toxic, and can
cause headaches, dizziness or nausea, among other symptoms.
Can be sensitizing to the skin.
Petrochemicals:
Any petroleum-derived compound, such as isopropyl alcohol,
mineral oil, and petrolatum. Sensitizing to the skin and
can inhibit the ability of the skin to breathe, causing
the very dryness and chapping they were intended to prevent.
Parabens
(Methyl, Propyl, Butyl, and Ethyl Paraben):
Preservatives used to inhibit microbial growth and extend
the shelf life of products, but also known to cause allergic
reactions and skin rashes in many people. Some studies have
implicated them in reducing hormonal levels in both human
and animal test subjects. Even though their toxicity is
well known, they are used in almost all skincare products.
Polyethylene
Glycol (PEG):
Used to dissolve oil and grease as well as thicken products,
found in caustic spray-on oven cleaners & many personal
care products. Potentially carcinogenic and strip away the
skin's natural moisture factor.
Propylene
Glycol:
Used as a surfactant or wetting agent. The Material Safety
Data Sheets on propylene glycol warns users to avoid skin
contact as it may damage cell membranes causing rashes,

Sodium
Laurel Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate:
Cheap, harsh detergents commonly found in cleansers, often
disguised with the expression "comes from coconuts."
Can be very irritating to the skin and eyes.
Stearalkonium
Chloride:
An ammonium compound used in hair conditioners and creams
because it is cheaper than proteins or herbals, which are
beneficial to the hair.
