If Josh Kelley's 2004 debut, FOR THE RIDE HOME, hinted at the young singer/songwriter's flair for rock-and-soul-flavored radio-ready pop, his 2005 follow-up, ALMOST HONEST, fully realizes that potential. With memorable singalong melodies, light R&B-tinged instrumental work, and heartfelt lyrical sentiments (lead-off single "Only You" and the stirring, ballad-like title track are two cases in point), Kelley joins the ranks of Howie Day and Jack Johnson as a pop singer-songwriter to watch.
