Alocasia Brian Williams!

I breed this plant in 2004. I crossed Amazonica with Macorrhiza. I was not looking to produce plants to sell but wanting something more for my tropical garden. I was looking for a large strong grower with loads of color. This hybrid shown to be just what I was looking for. It is able to be grown in part shade to full sun. The leaves are a dark green with white veins and the underside of the leaf is a deep maroon. The leaves can get around 2 to 3 feet long and around 1 or more feet wide. It can grow to 7 feet tall or more once it develops trunks. It makes a excellent landscape plant in zones 8 and higher or a large house plant. I grow mine outside for the summer and bring in for the winter. If your looking for a colorful Alocasia that is tough, large, and fast growing this is what your after. I have found though that it does not like extremely hot areas.

The plants offered were grown and are very well rooted in 4 1/2 inch pots and are around 8 inches tall.

FACTS Foliage: Dark green leaves with white veins and dark maroon undersides to the leaves.
