Amami – hair and beauty products – Dream and Fortune Telling Book No.2, c1934.

This is a good example of an attractive 5” x 3½” sixty-page booklet titled the Amami Dream and Fortune Telling Book No.2. It contains adverts for Amami hair and nail products (including a great colour advert on the back), four pages with highlights of the 13 years of Amami history, and most of the book is filled with explanations of Dreams, a brief explanation / guide to Palmistry and the Hand, meanings of names, signs of the Zodiac, superstitions etc. And there are many full-page photographs of Hollywood stars as well as details of their star signs etc. These include Joan Crawford, Jeanette MacDonald, Norma Shearer, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Conrad Veidt, Clark Gable, and others. The booklet is in lovely clean and complete condition with the only minor fault being that the staples have started to rust, but no pages are detached or anything like that.

It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important. Return policy

I wrap all items well, in strong / sturdy card or boxes and will not be held responsible for damage caused during shipping. If any such damage occurs I will be happy to help where I will where I can, with proof of posting etc, but where the problem has obviously been caused in the postal system then your issue is with the postal people, not with me.

I will be happy to receive back any item that differs from my description. (Size / Colour / Condition etc)  If this is the case I will pay the cost of posting it back to me.  But I will NOT pay the postage if there is no real reason for it being returned.
