Hi my name is Lisa Fehrmann and I am the artist behind Chubby Cherubs Nursery. Baby Ellie was reborn using an ordinary Berenguer doll. I absolutely love this little girl. Have fun viewing her pictures and please email me with any questions you might have. Any variations are due to taking pictures at different times of the day. These pictures do show what she looks like in person!

The steps of rebirth......

First I painted this little angel's 1/4 length arms and legs and head with Genesis paints. These paints are heat set and are permanent. I painted in several layers to give her vinyl skin the appearance of a newborns. Doesn't she look so real!

Next I concentrated on painting this precious babies face. I painted and blushed it in several layers and her skin has the appearance of being like a older baby. I then replaced her original eyes with these gorgeous hazel eyeco eyes. I added light brown lashes and eyebrows to frame her darling realistic eyes. I then opened her nose. I removed her original lip color and repainted her precious mouth to this beautiful realistic color. I then did very subtle veining and highlighting on her face and limbs where a baby normally has color variations. What a darling little face!

Ellie's hair is next. I then dyed this gorgeous baby like mohair to this beautiful blonde color. This hair is soft and baby like and has a gentle curl to it. Her hair was then rooted into her tiny little head using a small rooting needle and rooting and only a few strands at a time. Her hair looks as though it is growing right out of her scalp. I gave her the perfect baby style like a baby with a full head of hair. I sealed her hair with a strong waterproof sealer so her mommy can have fun gently wetting, brushing and styling it. I love it with a bow!

I added a magnetic paci with this baby. Care must be used around medical equipment and computers as these magnets are very strong. Just let me know if you win the auction and wish to have them removed.

Next comes the fun part. Putting this little girl together! This baby has 1/4 vinyl legs and arms which makes her so oh so cuddle. I used a jointed cloth body that fits her perfectly. I then carefully filled her body and limbs with a mixture of polypellets and polyfill. This little one is so fun to hold you won't want to put her down. Her little head even needs support like a real newborns head. For my international customers I have not used any sand in this precious little girl!
