This dress is certainly Oscar-worthy!  You might compete with the statue and will not go unnoticed!  This outrageous minidress is done in a gold lame fabric with lame fringe from the bust to the waist and bugle bead fringe from the waist down.  The dress is fully lined in a yellow cotton sateen material and looks to be handmade.  I don’t know whether this was part of a costume but this is the way it came to me.  It’s certainly a perfect dress to add sparkle to your New Year’s Eve!

 

There is a side slit that goes up to the waist but can be tacked together to close at a more modest level.  I have pinned the slit closed in some photos to show what can be done to close it up.  Whatever way you want to wear it, it is an outrageous dress!  The lame is in excellent condition. 

 

I estimate that this is a size 4 or a small 6 based on the fit on the dress form.  It will not zip up all the way (see photos).  The back is dramatic with a “V” almost down to the waist!

Length from top shoulder:  31 ½”

Shoulder to Shoulder:  15”

 

Please note that there is a 3” hem in the dress if you wish to make it longer. (see photos)
