This is a beautiful sounding Zildjian K Custom dark 20" ride cymbal that I purchased new a few years ago. This cymbal is well used and has thousands of what some call stick marks. How ever it has never been cleaned, abused, taking anywhere with out being in a hard road case, or had a plastic tipped stick come near it. (nothing against plastic sticks, but I always imagine them doing damage). This cymbal has no key-holing, chips, bends or anything like that. I have mostly used it on jazz gigs and practicing in my studio so I assure you no "thrashing" or "rocking" has ever occurred on it. i am a pretty soft player and use smaller sticks. I am sure it could be used in those situations but I am sure for jazz, latin, swing, or funk it is absolutely perfect mike'd or acoustic. It is excellent in recording situations, and it is also big enough for a main cymbal in a big band, or a small jazz combo.
