This early out-of-print book is a collector’s items in itself and a classic reference on antique American Eastlake furniture.

EASTLAKE-INFLUENCED AMERICAN FURNITURE 1870-1890, Mary Jean Madigan, curator, The Hudson River Museum, NY, 1973.

This rare book accompanied an exhibit at the Hudson Rive Museum for the period November 18, 1973 through January 6, 1974, and provides a pictorial survey of this new style of Victorian furniture in America. In addition to a concise yet comprehensive text which reviews the history and development of this style of furniture in American, the book describes over 70 examples of this style furniture – many with black-and-white photographs. Pictured and discussed are examples made by George Hunzinger, the Wooton Desk Manufacturing Co., Jeliff and Company, Herter Brothers, Daniel Pabst, and others. This book belongs in the permanent reference library of the collector, dealer, or historian of antique American Victorian Eastlake furniture.

8.5” x 11” softback in very good condition (cover has uppper right corner crease). Approximately 75 pages.
