Illustrated buckram hardcover with dust jacket. Sewn binding. Black, white & red illustrations throughout. Biographical sketch of Noah Webster and Barbara Cooney in back. 80 pages.
 
CONDITION: Ex-library with minimal markings. Dust jacket wrinkled but bright and clean, small tan mark from spine label adhesive., no tears, unclipped, $2.95 price. Tight binding. Tape marks left on end papers. Small tear at bottom of intro. page; otherwise bright smooth pages with very few smudges, no tears or creases.   Smoke-free home without pets.

The whole family will enjoy the quaint and sometimes humorous sayings and Cooney's signature illustrations, a feast for the eyes!
