About the AmeriGlide Ultra Stair Lift: The Ultra Stair Lift is a battery-powered stair lift with a 300 lb. weight capacity. It comes with a vinyl or fabric-covered seat that swivels for easier transitions but that locks during transport up and down the stairs. The Ultra incorporates multiple safety sensors, a seat-belt, and brakes that stop the lift safely in case there is a problem with the drive system. Also, the hand-control uses a constant pressure switch that will stop the lift when you release your finger from the control. As a bonus, the Ultra comes with call/send wireless remotes for the top and bottom landings.
