Amethyst Single Nugget Drop Pierced Earrings Authorized Museum Reproduction Jewelry Italy c.800-500 B.C. Early Etruscan Period. These Classical Amethyst Nugget Drop Earrings are inspired by the art of ancient Greece and Italy. The Amethyst Nugget measures approx. 8mm high x 5mm wide.

The earrings feature a European lever back closure and are 22K Gold Plate over high quality pewter. The formal symmetry and simple elegance of classical Greek and Roman jewelry evolved during the Hellenistic period into more lavish designs. The Etruscans of central Italy further enhanced jewelry design of the classical world by incorporating delicate filigree and granulation beads.

These beautiful 1½" long earrings are handcrafted in the U.S.A.
