“I love the AMP-U-PLUG-N-PLAY” Randy Bachman-formerly of: Bachman-Turner-Overdrive The Guess Who
“This thing is wicked. I want to have them strewn around my house and tour bus. I’ve been using it non-stop since I got it. And I’m not just saying this either. I’m kind of a gear snob, and I don’t endorse anything, This little unit definitely fills a gap” Corb Lund
“Thanx for putting out a very cool product!” Jock C. Merrell The Grass Roots
“The AMP-U-PLUG-N-PLAY is our most valuable backstage tool. We have three of them and we use them to warm up with before each show. We don’t need to carry practice amps anymore because we can pack them into our guitar cases” Jesse Haines Reverend Blue
“I was tired of the other mini amps because my guitar cord just slung them around. Absolutely brilliant idea.” Ted B. – Detroit, Michigan
“The best sounding completely portable practice amp I’ve played.” Sean D. – Orlando, Florida
“I love it! I can literally take it and play it anywhere.” Tom W. – Atlanta, Georgia
“I left to go camping the other day and just threw the AMPUPLUGNPLAY in my guitar case. No cords and no extra gear to carry.” Keith W. – Chicago, Illinois
MusiciansBoutique Review: As a personal user and big fan of this item, this mini amp goes from clean to overdriven based on how you set the volume control on your guitar. It also seems to get more overdrive the longer you have the unit turned on with the battery warmed up, almost like how a tube amp works sounding their best with the tubes warmed up. To clean up the sound, you just back off the guitar's volume and it sounds very natural and woody. Playing for 10-15 minutes nightly, the battery seems to last forever but that may also be because I like to keep the tone clean for practice purposes which probably pulls less juice from the battery. I've been using mine for a few months now and have only had to change the battery a couple of times, though your own battery life results may vary based on your own usage, guitar output, etc. I also love the fact that there's no cables and adapters tangled up all around like my last table top mini amp, which was promptly shoved into the drawer once I got one of these. This one stays permanently attached to my guitar as it sits on the stand and is loud enough to compete with someone else playing an acoustic guitar. Being the curious type, I looked inside at the circuit board and it appears to have all quality components and green "chicklet" style capacitors hand soldered to the circuit board, not the cheaper surface mount stuff, which probably accounts for it's excellent woody tone at lower volumes. I've plugged it at the end of an effects chain with good results as well and while not loud enough to gig with, it's perfect for practicing at bedroom volumes or jamming at room levels with a buddy. In fact, many of our customers buy 2 or more to do just that. Get yours today! |
