This auction is for a set of two reproduction prints of the drawings that Oliver Jespersen (aka Jess Oliver) submitted to the United States Patent office on July 27, 1962. The final patent was issued on May 11, 1965 and was assigned to Ampeg Company, Inc.
If you've read this far, you probably already appreciate where this amplifier stands in the legacy of musical instrument design and its contribution to popular music. What you may not be aware of is that Jess Oliver is still in the amp business and can be found right here on eBay!

Be sure to check his eBay items for sale. I've seen him snap-up vintage B-15 and B-18 Portaflex amps here on eBay and I'm guessing that they are not for his personal use and that they will end up for sale along with the incredible models he has built in his own shop. Owning one of these babies would be like having a vintage Precision Bass that had been
tweaked by Leo Fender himself!
