This AMPEX Amplified Speaker Tube Amplifier is an outstanding piece of vintage audio. You will be amazed at the sound quality of this powerful push pull circuit that employs U.S. made 6V6 output tubes. I believe the speaker in this unit is a Jensen but not sure. It seems to me that it's a sought after model for it's very high quality of full range reproduction. I have had this unit for years and just have gone through and rebuilt it by adding new capacitors and whatever else it needed to be performing beautifully. Big, clean, powerful and wonderful tone! Has 4 inputs which are selected on the drop down walnut front panel in front. They include phono, tuner, tv and tape playback. The tape playback is a 1/4 inch jack which is perfect also for plugging in a guitar, perfect for using as a practice amp. These are mono amps of course and you will be impressed with the design and quality which was what Ampex was all about in those days. Also has separate volume and tone control on the front panel.
