Ampex VPR-3

Up for auction is an Ampex VPR-3 Professional video recording module. This unit is in excellent physical condition, with only minor scuffs on the casing. All of the lettering on all modules is clear and very legible. This unit has the Zeus-1 module installed on it, but it appears that card numbers 1, 13 and 14 are missing. This unit is missing the video screens that are normally installed on the top of the unit. Please see the photos below for more details on this unit.

When tested, I was able to power this unit on with no problems. The Zeus unit powered up and the lights blinked on like they are supposed to. I was not able to get the main display to power on, and it appears that there are some cut power cords leading to hard to reach areas which is causing this. I did not put a tape in test the heads, but they spin by hand with no problems. I do not have enough knowledge of this machine to test it any further, so it is only guaranteed to work as described.
