You are buying one ticket to the 30th Annual National Auto Racing Memorabilia Show which will be held on Friday May 23 and Saturday May 24 at The Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis (38th and Fall Creek Parkway). The Show is held in the Pioneer Our Land Pavilion. (The Fairgrounds is virtually equi-distance from the track to downtown Indy but in the opposite direction.) This long-running show is a fixture on the list of traditional events associated with the running of The Indianapolis 500- May 25.
Labelled by Andy Granatelli as, "The best-kept secret of the Indy 500 Weekend" collectors and race aficionados can find the whole history of auto racing under one roof. Whether you are looking for museum-quality merchandise; crew-used apparel including shirts, firesuits, car parts and helmets; race programs; photos from all eras; tickets, pins; posters; diecast replicas; Indy 500 memorabilia; Clymer publications; race films and dvd's; Carousel diecast; Speedway bricks; pit badges; books; magazines; credentials; racing souvenirs; car body parts; trading cards; flags; beer signs; race toys; ceramics; autographs; advertising pieces; GMP; artwork and so much more presented by dealers from across the country and around the world.
The event is open: Friday, 1:00-7:30 and Saturday from 9:30-4:30. Admission on Friday is $10 and Saturday is $7. Young persons from ages 7-14 are $3 each day. Members of the Indy Racing League's DownForce Club are eligible for a special discount. (Please check their website and bring your membership card.)

Foyt, Jim Rathmann, Rodger Ward, the Bettenhausen's, Mark Donohue, Jackie Stewart, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Tony Hulman, Eddie Rickenbacker, Barney Oldfield, Lou Meyer, Tommy Milton, Roger Penske, Tony Stewart, Gordon Johncock, Jim Nabors, Helio Castroneves, The Brickyard, Dan Wheldon, Tom Sneva, Eddie Sachs, Wilbur Shaw, Danica Patrick, Gil deFerran, Jimmy Clark, Graham Hill, Jaques Villenueve, Gaston Chevrolet, Corvette pace cars, pedal cars, Bobby Rahal and Sarah Fisher.
Attendees can bring items in to the Show to sell or trade.
A full slate of well known auto racing personalities will fill the Autograph Pavilion both days. The 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 events featured: Mario Andretti, Janet Guthrie, Al Unser, Sr.,Linda Vaughn, Andy Granatelli, Lloyd Ruby, Michael Andretti, Mel Kenyon, A.J. Watson, Brian Barnhart, Bob Christie, Arie Luyendyk, Johnny Rutherford, Parnelli Jones, Jerry Grant, Chris Economacki, Paul Goldsmith, Lee Kunzman, George Snider, Chuck Weyant, Tom Sneva, Bill Vukovich, Jr., Salt Walther and current IRL Drivers Scott Dixon, Marco Andretti and Darren Manning.
Confirmed guests* for 2008 include: Friday: Gary Bettenhausen, Mel Kenyon and Jerry Grant. Saturday's confirmed: Bob Harkey, Jerry Sneva, and 1960 Indy 500 winner Jim Rathmann. Mr. Rathmann will sign 100 items beginning at 11:00 AM. Tickets-45- will go on sale on Friday at 4:30. The remaining 55 will go on sale Saturday morning. Limit two per person.

There is also a program for those who will not be able to attend the event to get their items signed by mailing them in, or purchase 8x10 photos that will be signed during the Show. (This is called 'mail order' and is a common practice at most sports memorabilia shows.) Up-to-date info can be reviewed on the Show website. Mail Order for Jim Rathmann will not be available.
Convenient parking is readily available. The 56th running of the famous "Hoosier Hundred" takes place at the Fairgrounds on Friday evening under a new promoter with the green flag at 8:00 PM. (Previous race winners are a "Who's Who" of auto racing- Mario, A.J., Big Al, Parnelli, Rodger Ward and on and on.) You want to be at the Fairgrounds long before this.
