Up for auction is a hand built optical square wave function generator.
This unit is very small and will fit in the palm of your hand.
It outputs a square wave that varies in frequency based on the amount of light falling on it's photoresistor "eye"
either use it with ambient light or experiment with laser pointers, leds, tv screens/computer monitors, flashlights, or anything that produces light!
This is a very sonically interesting and rewarding hand built instrument that will last for years to come.
I use an identical unit in my noise projects Peaches:Breaches, Olympia Noise All Stars, and 600 years in the futile and it has become a central part of my sound. it becomes very rich and interesting when paired with chaotic light sources and delay/reverb effects.
