The Greek dekadrachm is very rare and valuable, type Dewing 907, BMC 166, of Syracuse, Dyonysios I (405-367 BC). The coin is made from silver, diameter 1.5" (4 cm.) mounted in 14 K gold bezel marked 585, diameter 2.1" (5.3 cm.) Total weight: 53.5 gm. Estimated value: $8000. |
