Andro Dunos for Neo Geo AES, Euro version. Game is brand new with factory seal unbroken, condition of case is basically mint, as the game has been recently taken out of a brand new box of 6.
Back in the day, the AES was a pretty elitist console. I guess it hasn't changed much in the last 18 years, but back then the alternatives were MegaDrives and SNESs and the biggest cartridges at the time for those consoles were only 8 MegaBit. The Neo Geo hit the scene with two 46 meg games and a 50 meg game, and that seemed an almost inconceivable amount of data for a game at the time! Owners were probably well within their rights to gloat over their meggage considering the prices they paid for the games, but there was a downside to this meggage superiority: with every new game, the first thing potential buyers would ask was "how many meg is it?" They'd ask this before even asking if the game was any good. The reason I mention all of this is because Andro Dunos, which was released almost exactly a year after the console, was only a 34 meg game. As soon as people heard the number 34 preceding the word meg, they'd probably mentally switched off. At the time, I think Baseball Stars was the biggest game, at 68 meg, so Andro Dunos was precisely half that, and was considerably smaller than even the launch games, and that was a cardinal sin in the eyes of many owners, making the game unfit to be on their special console. World Heroes at 82 megs was just around the corner and before the year was out, we'd witness the first 100 meg games. Funny that, because in my opinion those early games which started really moving up from the meggage of Baseball Stars 2 have aged far worse and are simply not as good as many of the early lower meg games. Anyway, it's a shame that people were turned off by Andro Dunos, because it's a damn fine game. True, it does feel a bit stuck halfway between a really nice MegaDrive game and a real showstopping Neo Geo AES game, but that shouldn't matter, and it definitely mattersless now than it did back then! Go and play Hellfire, Gynoug, Gleylancer, Eliminate Down, Tatsujin, the Thunder Force games etc. etc. and tell me they're no good! I've always loved Andro Dunos from the very beginning. Yes, it's free of super effects and animations and things but it's also totally free of BS and it's very precise and pure to play and basically just really nice. I still find it amazing that it's possible to buy sealed copies of a game which was released back in 1992, especially one which had such a low production number like Andro Dunos! You can thank Telegames and their supremely bizarre business sense for this phenomenon.
Item is located in the UK. Shipping for EVERYWHERE outside the UK is by the Royal Mail's International Signed For service, which usually takes 3-5 days but can occasionally take a little longer. Price for this is 12 pounds which includes increased insurance. For TWO AES games, the price is 17 pounds.
Within the UK, I will use 1st Class Recorded Delivery for £4.50 or Special Delivery for £6.50 which is guaranteed next day except Saturday. For TWO AES games, Recorded is £5.50 and Special Delivery is £8.50.
