Hello and Welcome

Animotion's original members included Astrid Plane (vocals), Bill Wadhams (guitar), Don Kirkpatrick (guitar), Charles Ottavio (bass), Paul Antonelli (ex Lightstream member - keyboards) and Frenchy O'Brian (drums). Their debut 1984 album was launched by their radio hit "Obsession", written by Holly Knight. In 1986 the group trimmed down to a quartet including Plane, Kirkpatrick, Wadhams and Ottavio. Together with Jim Blair (studio drummer), Mike Baird (Ironhorse/Airply/Airborne session man and Journey live drummer) and Greg Smith (keyboards), Richie Zito produced Animotion's "Strange Behavior". Before their third album Plane, Wadhams and Ottavio quit and were replaced by actress Cynthia Rhodes (Dirty Dancing, Flash Dance), Paul Engemann (former Device vocalist), Tamara Champlin (backup vocals) and Journey's Randy Jackson (bass guitar/American Idol judge). Desmond Child and Sandy Stewart were the songwriters on this album which created another top ten hit with "Room to Move".

You are viewing the original limited edition "Obsession" fine art lithographic promotional poster for this album. This authentic "first-run" color graphic art lithograph was printed from the original plates in 1984. Only the highest quality paper was used for this production. The piece has never been matted, framed, hung nor displayed, but has been properly stored, undisturbed, since creation. This poster was not available to the general public for purchase, as it was only dispersed to radio stations and record stores.
