Cleaning out parents estate for downsizing and I came across this old doll.  This doll is in good shape.  I am not a doll collector so I will describe this doll to the best of my abilities.  Please contact me with any questions or for additional photos. 

History on this doll:  Back in the late 40s and early 50s, my uncle was a delivery boy for the Spokane newspaper.  This doll was give to him as an award or for recognition of his good service.  He in turn gave the doll to my mother.  As long as I can remember, the doll has been in storage, but I do recall seeing it as a child.  I don't know the actual date that this doll was give to my uncle.

Description of doll:  The doll measures approx. 33" form the tip of the hat to the bottom of the feet and about 16" wide with the arms resting comfortability.  The face is made of a very thin material and has a couple of cracks.  One crack is across the nose, to the side of the right eye and the left eye there are small cracks, and the other is along the neck line under the bow-tie.  The neck line crack is just above where the face is stitched to the fabric.  There are no pieces missing from the face.  The face is also the only solid material on this doll and it is stitched to the fabric around the edge of the face.  The fabric is clean with only some discoloration, probably due to age and a couple of small, faint stains.  Stiching along the seams is almost completely intact. It appears that a few repairs were made at some time.  None of the repairs or stitching flaws are very large.  There could be four areas along the seams, none more than one inch in length.  The ribbons / bows show some fraying along the edges.

Any advice on shipping would be appreciated.  USPS has a parcel post rate over $20.00.  That seems high, but the size of the box probably increases the shipping.  I presently ship within the U.S. only.    I ship promptly once payment is received.  I will also combine shipping with the other doll I have listed.  I'm happy to confirm any shipping rates before I send out an inoivce or collect payment.
