I went to a sale in St. Charles Illinois this weekend, and I’m still posting new items from the farm auction in Rockford Illinois, as well as two estate sales in Naperville Illinois (my home town). One of the Naperville sales, the same family had lived in the house for 150 years! I usually post on the weekends, and then one evening in the middle of the week (usually Wed or Thurs), so keep looking!
This is an old cast iron 15 lb. fisherman's anchor painted in a vibrant firetruck red color. Measuring 9" high by 7 1/2" diameter at the base, the anchor is marked on the bottom "Fisherman's Anchor, South Bend Bait Co. It is in excellent condition with just the right amount of paint chipping and (very minor) surface rust to give it character! I purchased it with a little 2" plug type of thing sticking out one of the holes - I'm not sure if it's part of the anchor or not! Use it, or display it - you can't go wrong!
Please ask if you have any questions. I work, so, If I don't get back to you until after 4:00, please don't think I'm ignoring you! As with any of my items, if you ever need extra pictures, let me know, just make sure that you give me an email address to send them to. Pick up is welcome on all of my items. I’m happy to combine shipments for you.
I have had some trouble with the Ebay shipping calculator giving people bombastic shipping rates (especially after purchase with the Ebay “Pay Now“ invoice on Parcel Post rates). I charge shipping cost, so if you think it’s too high, email me so that I can check it out, before you pay me. That being said, we pack very well, so that will add to the weight.
I ship within one business day of receipt of your payment.
Also, with the exception of the most heavy items, I will always give both Priority Mail and Parcel Post as shipping options, with Priority being first for my lighter items. Be sure you check out both rates. I ship within one day of receipt of payment. Parcel Post is running 7-14 days (but sometimes up to 3 weeks) from my house to you, on average, depending on where you live. I will always be happy to ship an item in a flat rate Priority mail box, if that is cheaper to you - as long as the item will fit well packed in the box - ask me before you bid if you think that’s the case for you.
