Here is an old, Original, 1866 book; REPORT OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE ON RECONSTRUCTION, 1866. Title page and First several pages are missing, and up to page 97, one side of pages was used as a scrapbook for newspaper articles, poems, death announcements. Those with dates have 1860's dates. Most of these are deaths. Last pages torn out. Rest of book, which is quite thick has reports focusing on a single state, or group of states. EX: Part II VIRGINIA, NORTH COROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA with names of the people on the Sub-Committee. Another has Tennessee. Another has Arkansas, Georgia, Miss and Alabama. Florida, Lou, Tex, etc. Much of this is in the form of Questions and Answers. Also, there are criminal cases such as assaults upon freedoms, and more. Statistics on trials, names, dates, places. There are Land Reports, Financial Reports, Expenditutes, and more.

Questions such as: WHAT FEELING DID THOSE WHO HAD BEEN ACTIVE REBELS EXHIBIT TOWARDS THOSE WHO HAD BEEN LOYAL ...

HOW DO THE BLACKS STAND AFFECTED TOWARDS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

CONDITION: Good, but there are the missing available pages in the front to read, as they have been covered by articles. Cover shows fading and edge and corner wear. Interior is mostly firmly stringbound, with minor loosesness at cover junctures. Nevertheless, there is so much more in this book, info, statistics, Q & A that it will still make a fine addition to any Civil War Memorabilia Collection, and Antique Book Collection. NO RESERVE!
