Huge Antique TEA LEAF IRONSTONE MEAT PLATTER

You are bidding on a huge antique Tea Leaf ironstone meat platter! I found this piece at an estate sale along with more ironstone and a lot of other interesting items! Check out my other items!

This is a gorgeous old platter, but it is damaged, so please read the description and look at the photos carefully!

The platter was made by Anthony Shaw and Son of England. My research says the firm were manufacturers of earthenware at Burslem. They used the mark of Anthony Shaw and Son from 1882 to 1898.

A copper tea leaf shines in the center of this very heavy meat platter. The border is also painted in copper.

The platter is 19" long and 13" wide. It has a nice, deep 2" well to hold the juices of the meat being served.

There is lots of crazing in the glaze. There is a shallow 1/2" chip on the left side of the platter, and there is a 4 1/2" crack in the top of the platter and a 2 1/2" hairline on the bottom. Please look at the photos carefully!

Even with the damage, the platter still makes a nice display piece. I was hoping someone might be able to have it restored.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Shipping fees for international buyers will vary. Items will be marked as merchandise, and the actual price will be stated on the customs form. I do not mark items as gifts.

INSURANCE: Insurance is highly recommended on all breakable items. If you pay for insurance & the item is broken in transit, a claim will be filed with the shipper. The shipper is responsible for refunding your money. I cannot be responsible for the handling of a package once the item has left my hands. If you do not buy insurance and the item is broken in transit, I will not be responsible for reimbursing you the price of the item.

REFUNDS: All sales are final. Refunds are made only if there is a major error in the item description. Refunds are made for the original purchase price only. Shipping fees are not included.
