Up for auction is a great antique Wolf coal mining safety lantern dating from the early part of the 1900's. This lamp/lantern is a carbide style lamp and will work with fluid. The flint mechanism works as it should and sparks when the bottom starter is turned. The glass globe is marked "Wolf Made in U.S.A.". The lower body and top is made of the steel, with the center part made of solid brass. Comes with the original hanging hook at the top. The glass globe is in great shape with no cracks or chips. Comes with the original adjusting key as seen below. The lantern is in overall very nice condition. It has no broken pieces, no repairs, no dents or issues. A little wear to the original paint as seen below. This lantern will work with fluid and the flint mechanism works perfect with a strong spark! Everything moves as it should and has no issues. It measures approx. 11 3/4 inches tall(not including the top hook). The hook measures approx. 3 1/2 inches. Very tough to find this nice and original, especially with the original adjusting key and ready to use. Very tough vintage lantern to find and is a must for any collector. This lantern was found at a recent 80 year estate and has been safely stored away for years. Good luck and feel free to email me with any questions. Check my other auctions for other vintage lanterns from the same estate. I will combine shipping on multiple wins. Check all the photos below to see the condition of the lantern!
