A great, original 1911 antique License to Sell ALE, LAGER BEER, CIDER AND RHINE WINE ONLY!  This license is from Windham County, CT, and was for the years of 1911 to 1912 (expired the first Monday of November 1912). 

In the center is a beautiful woman sitting near hanging grapes, a girl to the left (background) watching a clock...wonderful graphics abound!  Please see photos!

A small segment of the seller's responsibilities printed at the top: 

Sec. 2696 as Amended.  SALES TO MINORS AND OTHERS AND LOITERING FORBIDDEN...Every licensed person who, by himself, his servant or agent, shall sell spirituous and intoxicating liquor to any minor, either for his own use or the use of any other person, or to any intoxicated person, or to any husband, after having received notice from his wife not to sell or deliver such liquor to him, or to any wife, after having received notice from her husband, not to sell or deliver such liquor to her, or to any habitual drunkard, knowing him to be such, or to any persons after having received notice from the selectmen, as provided in Sec. 2695. not to sell, exchange, or give such liquor to such persons, or who shall allow any minor or female to loiter on his premises where such liquors are kept for sale, shall be subject to the penalities of Sec. 2712.   Followed by:  Sec. 2700 HOUR OF CLOSING SALOONS (great reading!)...  Sec. 2712 PENALTIES OF VIOLATIONS OF LIQUOR LAWS...

Printed below is:  This License Must Be Recorded By The Clerk Of Superior Court And Kept Exposed To View.  The document measures 22" by 13 3/4" (with attached stub, not in photo), has very light age toning on the borders, otherwise, condition is excellent...amazing in person!
