This auction is for an Antique, 23" Tall, Blue Glass Eyes, Sausage Curls Original Mohair Wig, Papier Mache Head Doll Well Dressed with Paper Litho, Wood Slat, Wooden Doll Trunk + Embroidered Wool Baby Clothes, Plus.

DOLL DETAILS:  She is 23" tall, hand painted paper mache shoulder head, blue spiral paperweight glass eyes, original sausage curl brown mohair wig, straw filled muslin cloth body, paper mache lower arms & hands, and black oil cloth shoes with tassels on cloth sawdust filled legs /feet.  The back of her shoulder plate was cracked & repaired at one time; otherwise, in good condition.  Her left inner leg thigh has a cloth repair patch on it.  Her arms & hands are crudely made but in good condition.  She comes wearing a faded pink & white polka dot dress trimmed in black velvet, a gold cased litho round brooch, white cotton short sleeve full slip and a matching half slip - all in good condition.

TRUNK DETAILS:  It measures 16" x 9 1/2" x 10 1/2" high and in fairly good condition.  Comes with original inside wooden paper covered tray with a lidded section.  Paper litho scene of a young girl playing cricket.  The outside is covered with lithographed paper (chipping, lose on edges) wooden slats & tin.  It's missing the leather side handles & locking key.

EXTRA BABY CLOTHES & OTHER CONTENTS:  Included are (3) handmade baby clothing items .... a handmade embroidery trimmed wool sleeveless baby under slip, a wool hand embroidered baby jacket, and an embroidered woolen baby blanket measuring 27" x 25".  All 3 pieces have a few tiny moth holes.  Also included a paper litho of a young girl sewing box of Hemminway's sewing silk thread and a satin ribbon flower pin on card titled "For Milady's Lingerie".
