This is a wonderful antique quilt in the 'Bow Tie' Pattern. It is made of feedsack and muslin material and measures approximately 62" by 78". The quilt top is made up of blocks with four 'bow ties' (matching fabric) per block. Each block is approximately 7" by 7 1/2" and there are a total of 63 blocks with 252 bow ties! The batting is a lightweight cotton and the back is one complete piece of muslin material. It has been well used and loved showing many worn areas but a completely charming and sturdy quilt. There are no worn areas at all on the backside. This is completely hand stitched with approximately 7 stitches per inch. This quilt probably dates anywhere from the 1920s - 1940s judging from the material. But I am by no means an expert, so please ask questions!
