Item specifics
Condition: UsedBrand: Spalding
This is a very nice, vintage racquet from the twenties.  On one side is says in script " A.G. Spalding & Bros." and on the reverse is says "SPALDING" and below that "BF".  "PAT. AUG 29, 1922" is clearly printed on the handle and some other patent info (USA and Canada, 1923?) printed on the other side, but not so clear anymore.  Overall in very good shape, with what appears to be the original, UNBROKEN strings!  The finish is decent, aged and bubbled from the years.  Large, grooved solid wood grip. Original leather endcap with the A.G. Spalding trademark.   The racquet has been stored in the included Treacy Cover/Press, made of canvas and lined with cotton.  The metal press is encased inside the fabric - the metal never touches the wooden frame.  The cover has a pocket for three tennis balls and the snap is intact.  The racquet head has no warping and little sign of scuffing from play.  Very cool item - would look great in any collection.
