 Description Shipping and payments
Up for auction is a truly outstanding antique applique quilt which has been made in a Prince's Feathers pattern. This thin, lightweight quilt measures 86" x 84" and it is in very good antique condition - it has some age discoloration mainly across the fold line - I am certain hat these will shift with a good soak - there is small amount of fabric thinning to the red fabrics - there are no holes, major rips or major stains and this quilt is generally quite study and n very nice shape. The fabrics are to "dye" for - brilliant reds, cheddars and greens work together beautifully on the crisp white ground. The hand quilting is expertly executed in tight outline of the applique work throughout, in a diamond grid on the main field as well as in feathered circles around the "roses" - all at a whopping 11 stitches per inch!!! I love the graceful florals and swags applique work around al four sides. This quilt is truly a collectors item and simply too good to let pass you by.
