Antique ARGOLINE Shephard Mfg Co HOMESTEAD PENN bottle

A small 2 7/8" tall clear-glass cylinder-shaped antique ARGOLINE patent medicine bottle.  This is an early hand blown into mold bottle. 

• Bottle embossed:  "SHEPHARD MFG. CO. / ARGOLINE / HOMESTEAD, PA."

• Condition:  Bottle in nice condition, has some cloudy haze, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. 
  

• Age:   An early hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.

• Shipping: Buyer pays $5.01 S/H which includes domestic insurance ~ more if international ~ We ship every Wednesday. So if you pay with PayPal by Tuesday evening, we will ship your item Wednesday. Payments received later than that will have to wait until the following Wednesday to ship, though we can possibly make exceptions. I believe this was a Chesebrough Vaseline competitor, it is the same style bottle.  Even the names VASELINE = ARGOLINE are similar.  Back then, Vaseline and Argoline were a petroleum jelly that was used and advertised as a cure for all types of skin afflictions.  Not many antique bottles from Homestead, Pa., and one that wasn't very successful as this is the first Argoline bottle we've seen in decades of collecting.  It was found in SW Montana in an old cow town, a neat little bottle, check it out!
