It is with great pleasure that I offer todaythis very beautiful and hard to find American walnutmantle clock built by the Ansonia Clock Company, New York, U.S.A. around 1900.
The clock is listed in theirtradecatalogue as the “Andes” model.
This beautiful clock is an absolutely stunning time piece and it is not often you find one such as this,in such superb condition.
Check out the beautiful Art Nouveau designs and rich deep carvings.. Rich and flowing with typical nouveau designs and floral themes.
The Walnut case is in excellent original condition with no damage or repairs. Hard to believe its over 100+ years of age.
The clock is fully working andfeatures the famous and ever reliableAnsonia 8 day strike movement. This spring wound time and strike movement has just been serviced by myself to ensure many years of reliable time keeping. The clock requires winding only once a week and strikes on a beautiful Ansonia gong on the hour and half hour.
The original silver silkscreen glass anddial are both in excellent condition and the dial also features the Ansonia Clock Company trademark..
To finish off this beautiful clock, is the original fancy nickel platedpendulum and key.
The clock stands an imposing :22 ½ inches (570mm) high, 14 inches (355mm) long, and 4 inches (102mm) wide.
