I went to a sale in St. Charles Illinois this weekend, and I’m still posting new items from the farm auction in Rockford Illinois, as well as two estate sales in Naperville Illinois (my home town). One of the Naperville sales, the same family had lived in the house for 150 years! I usually post on the weekends, and then one evening in the middle of the week (usually Wed or Thurs), so keep looking!
This is a wonderful old Ingraham Eight Day Clock made out of a heavy metal. I don't know what type of metal it is, but I know it's not cast iron (doesn't stick to a magnet) and I didn't want to mess with its current patina. The clock measures 9" tall by 7 1/2" at the base and 2 1/2" deep. The face says "Ingraham Eight Day" in the lower third and then, the bottom of the face reads "Made by the E. Ingraham Company, Bristol Conn. USA." The face is in excellent, clear and clean condition with hands and numbers in fantastic shape. The crystal has a 1" surface scratch line (not a crack_ that you can see running from just to the bottom right of the 10, to the middle of the clock - the rest of the crystal is fine. I could not get the clock to work, but it appears to have all of its workings inside (I know nothing about clocks - but the works are there). There's some oxidation (light white/green color) on the very bottom rim - not a big issue - you could clean if you wanted to. This clock has beautiful deco detail - the case is fantastic - see my pictures.
Please ask if you have any questions. I work, so, If I don't get back to you until after 4:00, please don't think I'm ignoring you! As with any of my items, if you ever need extra pictures, let me know, just make sure that you give me an email address to send them to. Pick up is welcome on all of my items. I’m happy to combine shipments for you.
I have had some trouble with the Ebay shipping calculator giving people bombastic shipping rates (especially after purchase with the Ebay “Pay Now“ invoice on Parcel Post rates). I charge shipping cost, so if you think it’s too high, email me so that I can check it out, before you pay me. That being said, we pack very well, so that will add to the weight.
I ship within one business day of receipt of your payment.
Also, with the exception of the most heavy items, I will always give both Priority Mail and Parcel Post as shipping options, with Priority being first for my lighter items. Be sure you check out both rates. I ship within one day of receipt of payment. Parcel Post is running 7-14 days (but sometimes up to 3 weeks) from my house to you, on average, depending on where you live. I will always be happy to ship an item in a flat rate Priority mail box, if that is cheaper to you - as long as the item will fit well packed in the box - ask me before you bid if you think that’s the case for you.
