-STYLE: Art Nouveau

-TECHNIQUE:

 Manufacture Dust pressed clay tile using a mould & horsehead press- then burned-

 Decoration  Relief  molded majolica combined with low relief moulding

 Decorated with colored glazes.

-COLORS: 5

-FACTORY: Helman Ceramique - Sint Agatha - Berchem.

-DIMENSIONS: 6" x 6" 

-APROXIMATE DATE: ca 1900

 

Scarce low relief flower in a nice opaque red colour.

- CONDITION: This tile is in perfect condition, no flaws or repairs exist, only minimal chips on borders. Cement on reverse was carefully removed so minimal traces are remaining. Surface, as you can see, has a firm color and smooth glaze surface. Only minimal scratches and tiny chips may be seen, but this is nothing for a more than 100 year old architectural piece.
