 Large Antique Ashcroft Altitude Gauge, Brass Bezel 1898.

  Good day; for your consideration is this fantastic antique Ashcroft  altitude gauge registered April 12, 1898.  The 6" outside diameter, removable brass bezel retains some of it's original nickel plating, where it has been polished or worn off it shows brass. The re painted cast iron back flange measures 6 3/4" with the total thickness of the gauge being 2 1/4".  The movable red indicator needle has a bit of rust, and has left a few light stains on the silvered face, (can be seen in the following pictures). Mounted to the two board cross grain base it stand 10" tall with the base being approx. 9" x 8 1/2" x 1 1/2". I will unscrew the gauge form the base for shipping, simply thread back on the well used, (tool marks, wear spot) brass coupler, to your desired position.
