This is a unique and authentic early 20th Century Bank Teller Security Gate. It is heavy, solid brass, one inch thick, with decorative side pillars. This was made to mount inside a teller window. The dimensions are 24" from exterior pillars; the gate itself is 17-1/2" by 19-1/2" tall. This gate opens inward, has a small locking mechanism, no key, and does open (not locked). There are seven bars on this gate all with decorative disc elements. The first two bars are made with a twist, the next three are straight, and the next two are made with a twist. The bottom has a horizontal decorative bar with eight brass circles. Attached to top bar, and exterior to the gate, are two 14" pillars with a decorative emblem resembling a torch. The gate weighs 25 pounds and is in excellent, beautiful condition. Purchased from a Church Sale in Charleston, South Carolina. On May-06-08 at 07:55:07 PDT, seller added the following information:
