Rare Find!

When I last checked, there were no barley twist sofas to be found on ebay!  This rare set I am told is from Norway and dates between 1880 and 1910.  It was reupholstered about 8 years ago, at which time the cushions were completely redone.  It is structurally very sound and beautiful.  The only true damage is a small missing section of wood on one of the "ball" type shapes on the chair, which is shown up close in the last picture.  Truly not something noticeable.  The upholstery shows typical wear, but has no holes or rediculous staining.  In order to be historically accurate, we would suggest reupholstering it.  The only other upholstered barley twist sofa I have ever seen, was at an antique shop here in Spokane for $8000!  And this was one that was in terrible need on new cushions and re-upholstering and it did not include a chair.

I do not normally sell items this large.  That being said, I am not set up for shipping.  So, it will either need to be picked up locally or you will need to arrange for it to be picked up, blanketed or crated and shipped.   You will be responsible for arranging this and paying for this.  Shipping is NOT included in this auction.  If you can't pick it up locally or arrange shipping yourself, please do not bid.
