This complete two-volume set of books titled The Cottage Bible and Family Expositor Containing the Old and New Testaments, with Practical Expositions and Explanatory Notes by Thomas Williams. These leather-bound books are dated 1845 by Case, Tiffany and Burnham. They measure about 7½" by 10¼" and have a few nice engravings, plus a family record. The covers are very worn with some flaking of the leather. The pages have foxing (brown spots), a few with larger stains and some with rips. A few pages at the beginning are detached with rips.This Bible was purchased from New York, State.John Tyler was president of the United States when this Bible was published. Other items: Fairbanks Standard Scales 2 receipts from Henry Pomeroy to Fred Matthes, one signed by H. B. Hudson 1870 back of receipt has Geo. Asa Pomeroy and Henry, and Emma Pomeroy the other receipt signed by H.B.S. Hudson Weigher 1880 Another piece of paper with a religious note on it. Family Information Marriages: H. Pomeroy and H. A.
