It is an antique brass trivet or footman. It is 17 1/2" long, 8 7/8" wide and 6" tall. It weighs over 7 pounds. It may date to the late 1700's-early 1800's. It is well made and in very good condition.
Great to display with antiques and primitives. It will look good anywhere- country kitchen, beside a large hearth, in a garden area...
