This Antique Buddha Mask is hand carved from a heavy hardwood

 This piece has not been restored. It has been part of a collection for 25 years and its whereabouts prior to that are unknown. 

The previous owner bought it as an antique in  the 1980's and it was estimated then to be conservatively more than 40 years old.

This is a beautiful stylish antique that will look stunning in the most contemporary of setting.

There is no signature or date on the piece which is perfectly normal for a Balinese Buddha.  Carvers in Bali tended not to sign their work 60 years ago and still dont, unless requested.  Contemporary artists in Bali sign their work, but that has been a development created by Western buyers requesting signed pieces.
