THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! You are bidding on an Antique Burl Inlaid Buffet Curio Display Cabinet Commode Chest. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and is an original antique that dates back to the Turn of the Century and is from the late 1800s or early 1900s circa 1900 and was American made or possibly from France and was made of the HIGHEST quality the market had to offer during the time period. This piece was signed by its Maker with initials J.P. into the bronze which is referenced in the photos which could have been famous cabinet maker Jean Paul or Jean Pierre and is a BEAUTIFUL piece that can be accented anywhere in a home. It has beautiful open glass curio cabinets at each side with glass shelving with all beveled edges and a beautifully arched and curved beveled mirror with nicely piereced trim work at the center. The top of the cabinet has beautiful Bronze cherub faces at the corner of each side with beautiful glass doors with bronze keyhole covers that have floral Ancathus leaves etched into the castings with mortise locks at each cabinet and comes with a key. Throughout the top of each cabinet has nicely rounded edges with Pencil line Satinwood inlays over beautifully figured Burl wood that borders throughout the edges. It has a beautiful Italian Carrera Marble top with nicely recessed bullnose edges and the piece itself sits on beautifully tapered and rounded legs with Bronze Ancathus leaf tipped feet. The bottom has beautifully inlaid and banded drawers and doors which are all doweled and dovetailed together with bronze pull handles that have a beautiful floral decor pattern etched into the bronze itself.Please keep in mind this is an antique and appears to be all original and the marble has some wear around the edges and may need some profoessional touch up and cleaning at your discretion. The corners of the bottom half of the cabinet also have beautiful Bronze ancathus leaf swagged motifs at the top of each side that was made of the finest quality with crisp detail and of the finest quality bronze work. The top has a beautifully arched design with its mirror and beautiful Bronze eagle and all the Bronze trim and detail was done with great depth and dimension to the detail and was made after Traditional designs of the 17th and 18th Century and this piece was made with quality and craftmanship that is no longer found today and was signed by its original maker.who we believe could be Jules or Jean Pierre and then its engraved De Pose or Rosa which may have come from the estate of Casa De Rosa which could have been originally made for Isidor and Rosa Bonheur and this was specially made for them or for J.P. Morgans grandson Jules P.Morgan so this is a very interesting piece and everything was made using the finest woods, inlays, bronze and the beautiful glass which has glass on all of its sides which is beautiful for display. As a side note you can attach LED lights inside of each cabinet to light the insides without altering the piece and would look beautiful because the light with shine through the glass shelving with mirror lined backing which would really show the beauty of anything that would be put displayed inside and the shelves are removable if you decide to display something large. Each Bronze Cherub face at the top has beautiful rope tassells that are nicely draped around them just to give you an idea on the beautiful and intricate detail and all these features is what really adds up and gives it much charcater and one of the NICEST pieces we have seen in years. The back is all planked with raised panels and mortise and tenon construction throughout. This piece does come apart in several pieces for easier transportation and easier to get into tight areas. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures with finely banded inlays throughout the piece that was done with Tulipwood. Because of its size this can be used in a hallway or foyer as a display case, or in a dining room or breakfast nook, or a bedroom or Boudior, or in a living room, study or Parlor or guest room and anywhere else throughout your home as a beautiful accent piece that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation and is an heirloom quality piece with intrsic value that is no longer found in this styles, designs and quality especially at NO reserve. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall this piece is in excellent shape.. each piece is properly protected to ensure the
safety of these items during transit time. Most
shipping quotes are based on Full
Service Blanket Wrap Delivery. Please
do not bidbefore getting a
shipping quote, and include your zip
code for the most accurate quote. We do offer
other shipping options:
Crate & Freight:
Curbside delivery only, fast and secure
but more expensive. For remote areas, this may be
the only option. Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery and
10 business days for tracking
information.
Full service blanket wrap
delivery:
Most
quotes are based on this
method. Inexpensive, safe and includes
full service in-house first floor
delivery. Allow 2-8 weeks for delivery, up
to 12 weeks depending on where you are in the
country. Set Up, and or flights of
stairs are additional.
Using your own shipper:
You may use your own
shipper, however please note that Antique
Furniture Depot does not provide any packing
services, and will not crate, wrap or pad your
item, and a $25 handling fee will apply. We can
not guarantee any of our items when using a 3rd
party shipper and not be held responsible for any
damage done by your shipping carrier. If you
choose this method you agree to these terms and
will not hold Antique Furniture Depot accountable
for any monetary loss due to damaged
shipment.
Local Pick
Up:
Item(s) must be picked up
within 30 days of auction ending, a $25 handling
fee will apply, as well as NY State Sales Tax. Our
warehouse hours are M-F 10am-6pm and we normally
open one Saturday per month, please give us 72
hours advance notice prior to desired pick up
date. Any items left after 30 days will be
assessed $25 per week, per auction for storage.
For all pick ups please bring your own blankets,
pads and any other material you may need to secure
your item(s). Any items left over 120 days, if
there are no prior arrangements made, then the
sale will be forefeited and no refunds will be
issued.
To our valued customers: As you

Payment is required
within five days of the end of an
auction. Our preferred method of payment is
PayPal. We also accept credit cards direct. You
may also use your credit card
with Paypal. After the 10th Day any
unpaid items may be sold to back bidders,
relisted on Ebay or sold
locally.
All Sales are Final, no
returns or exchanges. If an item is returned,
buyer pays all return shipping and a 30%
restocking fee will apply to all returns. If you
