After some research, we believe that the dresser came from Bristol, South Dakota and more than likely from the Brokaw Hotel as it was the only hotel in town. The Brokaw Hotel was built by Richard P. Brokaw, founder of Bristol, and paternal great grandfather of Tom Brokaw. The owners mother was a Brokaw. This auction is for one C1900 oak dresser and mirror with the original finish carefully maintained by the owner. The height with the mirror is 65 inches and a total width of 31 inches. The 3 drawers are 16x21 inches. The storage area opening is 13x13 inches. The dresser top is 21x26 inches. The wash basin stand is 15x18 inches. The mirror is 20x30 inches. The height to the top of the towel rack is 44 inches. The height of the dresser is 28 inches. The height to the top of the wash stand is 21 inches. The area at the upper right corner of the mirror has a sticker noting South Dakota State Fair in 191?. The first dresser drawer has a rounded front while the two lower drawers are flush. Shipping/Handling: The item maybe picked up or shipped via freight or UShip. We have various small moving companies that can quote this for you or simply go to UShip. Crating is approximately $150. The estimated shipping weight is 250 with crating. A handling/packaging fee for this item is $35.00 and not included in the shipping quote.
