Antique Pharmacy Cocaine Prescription Rx Solution for use in EYE...
Here's a nice vintage 1916 Pharmacy Rx for Cocaine.. The small script measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2", and has a center crease, otherwise in nice shape for its' age as you can see. This hand written Rx was prescribed for Malcolm Aroozian, Blanchards Lodge ?, on December 10, 1916.. The Doctor was Morgan T. McSheehy and the Pharmacist was B. R. Claflin, Corner Church and prospectSts., Whitinsville, MA..Massachusetts.
The Rx reads, Cocaine Hydrochloride 4 grains, Sat. (saturated) Sol. (solution) of Acidi Borici (Boric acid) ad (to make) 1 oz. sig: 5 drops in eye every 2 to 3 hours with a MEDICINE DROPPER....Common in those days with ailments problems, etc......
This will make a nice addition to your apothecary, pharmacopeia, Roaring 20's, Art Deco, Home Medicine collection, Whiskey, Narcotic Drug Collection, Coca, etc..... Also a great Graduation gift to a Pharmacist, Druggist, Nurse, Doctor, Pharmacy collection, etc.......
