Antique Cast Iron Royal Safe Deposit Combination Bank
Description
5 Day Auction with No Reserve
Up for your consideration is this very unique cast iron "Royal Safe Deposit" Combination Safe/Bank. Safe measures 6 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches across by 4 1/2 inches deep. There are images on each side of the bank, one depicting a child in a winter coat and hat and the other of a child with rabbits. These images are not stickers. The bank is embossed on every side except the bottom. The front is much more ornate than similar Royal Safe Banks I have seen. This is also the first one I have seen with the Crown at top of the combination. As you can see in the last two photos the slot at top is made to close shut if the bank is tilted in any direction. We will be taking this bank to a very good locksmith tomorrow (Wednesday) to discover this safe's combination. We will add the needed info and photo of the safe with it's door open. Safe is complete, all original and in very good condition for it's age with minimal wear. The combination could use a thorough cleaning and polishing Starting bid is set at rock bottom ($9.99) with no reserve and a very reasonable Buy it Now price. Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos.

The only locksmith in the area that has knowledge of old safes will not be back in town until Wednesday, after the auction has already ended. I was told this can be done for a $25 to $35 fee depending on how much work is involved. I can hold it and wait to have this done before shipping or the winning bidder can choose to have it done themselves.
