Antique Cherub Lamp - Angels, Cherubs, Lovely Lighting

Beautiful Antique Cherub Lamp!

Very old lamp - circa 1940's (according to previous owner - however I can not verify the age) Some of the electrical elements may have been replaced and the shade is NOT original.  The shade is optional, buyer decides if they would like it.  If you choose to bypass the shade - I will deduct 15.00 from the shipping costs.  Lamp works great!

Details:  The height of the sculpture is about 17.5 inches, the height from base to the top of the shade is about 29.5 inches.  The lamp body is composed of three cherub type figures (all male).  The material appears to be similar to many of the vintage chalkware statues that I own.  This is more than merely a lamp - it is a TRUE work of sculpture art.  Pay close attention to the pictures, especially the expressive faces on each subject.  The bodies - forms of the males are perfection.  The males are nude - but their "parts" are covered each with a single leaf.  One male has a animal thrown over his should - that appears to be a deer from a recent hunt.  Another holds a cornicopia filled with fruit.  The last is partially covered with a rough blanket of some sort. 

There are no major cracks, chips or damage to the lamp.  There are some minor fleabites in a couple of spots.  It is very hard to make this out in the pictures, but the darker parts of the lamp are actually a dark gold toned paint which gives it that aged antique look.  The shade is simple and earth toned.  A better shade would greatly enhance the overall look and feel of this gorgeous lamp.
