Antique Childrens School Desk

Childrens Antique School Desk. This piece has not been refinished to our knowage. We have owned it for 20 years and are only parting with it because we have lost 4 parents in the last year. We have no place for the desk because we have kept so many family heirlooms. The desk is in fantastic condition. It has been used gently and taken excelent care of.

It is mounted on floor rails but can be remove if you want too. This desk has the front seat and a seat behind it so you can sit at the desk and use it. Most of the desks you see do not have the seat behind them. We have seen items like this for as much as $350.00. I must sell it so I think I have it priced to sell. That is the only reason I am letting it go for this price.

It was made in the 1800's by Springfield S F Co. It also has Ideal with a 4 above it on the foot of the seat. The sides and feet are cast iron. My pictures really doesn't do it justice. It was a little dusty from being in the garage because I have no room in the house.

Don't miss out on this fantasic antique! It measures aprox. 281/2'' high from the floor to the top, The top is 14'' long and 201/4'' wide. The seat is aprox 14/12'' long, front to back, 21'' wide This piece has no scraches or mars.

It has the metal top that opens ot the inkwell and a groved pencil holder.
