Up for auction today is this antique silver childs "christening" cup. Dated Sept 17th, 1876. The cup reads: Henry W. White, Birth Day Centennial Gift, From His Father, Sept. 17th 1876. The bottom is marked 1333. That is the only markings on bottom.
The cup measures 2.75" tall, 2.25" across top, base is also 2.25".
Note, the beautiful repousse' work around the top. Will need polishing. Small flat spot on the base. No other damage noted, besides heavy tarnish. Will need to be cleaned - use your own judgement.
This is not marked sterling or sterling plated. Due to the age and condition, engraving does not show copper or other base metal through. So, please use your own judgement.
